The Art of turning heads
Margaret Misenar
Owner, Colour Specialist
Like any other artist, Margaret Misenar uses colour and texture and light to bring life to her work. Margaret’s medium is hair and, when it comes to hair, the MAC Hair Studio owner is a perfectionist. “Hair is probably the most telling characteristic about a person,” she says. “When our clients walk into a room, we want them to turn heads.”
In keeping with this philosophy, Margaret hand-picked her team of professionals when opening her San Marco studio in 2002 and it is with that in mind that she oversees her team of professionals. Every cut, colour, extension and style must pass her standards no matter whose work it is.
That’s reassuring for clients because the native-born Scot studied in Britain and the U.S. under some of the top artists in the industry and readily passes on her best practices to her staff. While art by its very nature is always individualistic, Margaret knows technique can be developed.
"I take pride on my entire staff for their enthusiasm on the extended training and our ability to work together as a team"

Every work of art begins with a concept – an idea of what the finished look will entail. At Mac Hair Studio we take that one step further. We’re after more than a look, we’re after an entire experience. Salon Coordinator Amber Parish ensures that, in addition to complete satisfaction with their finished look, our clients enjoy an overall experience that exceeds their expectations. In fact, we invite everyone to provide us with feedback so that we can continue to enhance our services.
